This vanity is very stunning and easy to assemble

I became a bit flummoxed when the directions had me installing part #2 in step 3. It was labeled part 1, but so is the base. I read that someone could not adjust the hardware for closure, but it takes a bit of familiarity with euro-style hardware to see how that works. Mine closes perfectly. I don't think that the hole in the base for drain line is necessary, at least if you are roughing in your own plumbing - there is ample room for a trap in the space allowed. I will put a black grommet on it. I agree that the finish is somewhat too soft for a vanity, especially the top. I have automotive quality gravity feed cup guns and plan to give the assembled unit a coat or two of conversion varnish. That type of finish is catalyzed and has a 30 day pot life, so you need to mix only what you need. The high polished hardware isn't going to be compatible with the rest of my fixtures and am waiting to hear if anything else is available. If it isn't I have brushed polished fixtures before with a wheel wire brush. Overall, it is a very attractive piece and well worth the price.
