2.5 stars. Pretty easy to assemble. I think it iss cedar so it should hold up for a while. Our only real issue and it is a really big issue to us - why would you make this with a 3 foot door! Holy Schizer Are you only expecting children to enter? Seriously what the frick? I had to modify ours but having known the issue I probably would not have spent the money. Buyer beware!
This is a perfect size. The quality is not the best. be careful when you are putting it together because it can be damaged easily. But overall works great for our cats and seems secure.
We replaced the roof after 1 year. I found a bridge for the window and added a raised garden sand litter box. The shelf and basket attachments I found on elecwish. Our neighbors gave us an astroturf scrap. We put it across the bottom. The cats like the astroturf a lot.
It was fairly easy to put together only took a few hours. The actual structure is a bit flimsy but with the roof but keeps it strong overall good quality. My cat approves of it very much and has been in it every day since I put it together. .
The only things that I did not like (but which were easily fixable) are: 1) The instructions have you put the door hardware on before you assemble the entire structure. Latches worked fine at first, but after assembly of structure latches misaligned. My advice is save that for last step after assembly of structure. 2) Roof needs to be sloped, normally is flat. Need to add a 1x2 the length of the unit on the house side and use longer screws. This will let water run away from house. Other than that no complaints. Cats absolutely love it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the extra work that needs to be done.
